Epoxy and epoxy novolac adhesive binders for structural reinforcement systems of building structures

Today, along with the conventional materials and technologies for reinforcement of building structures, structural systems based on polymer composites are rise. A system consists reinforcing filler (normally, carbon fiber fabric or cloth) adhesive binder. This paper investigated modification epoxy nobake binders to provide a higher thermal resistance mechanical strength. The influence novolac resins processing physical properties adhesives, is studied. It found that substitution 20-40 % resin in binder increases tensile strength by 40-50 %, flexural modulus 20 reduces strain, glass transition temperature. From point view, it more reasonable use liquid functionality f =2.5 than semisolid =3.6.
